Draft, candidate and reference

A capture begins as a protected draft. Save Candidate creates a neutral, durable record. Only Approve as Reference changes the current approved version. Retry is idempotent, so interruption never creates duplicates.

Operator labels

Local display names identify who captured and approved. They are not verified online identities. No account or cloud team service is required.

Backup

The canonical backup includes records and every managed media file. Restore validates the archive and creates a recoverable pre-replace backup before changing your binder.
